producing a podcast in glasgow - why trust the professionals?

So many of us dream of starting our own podcast.

But quickly we may realise that it’s not as easy as our favourite podcasters perhaps make it look. You need mics and a mixer. If you’re adding video you need cameras and lighting.

Barry and Brian of Jolly Media Marketing realised this when they considered launching their podcast, Risking it All. They did a search on Google and found us. So, they arranged to pay us a visit and within a few weeks they were recording with their guests in our professional podcast studio, just 5 minutes from Glasgow city centre.

Barry says:

We started the podcast in January this year. Initially we thought to ourselves, right, we'll do it ourself, record in our office, we'll do all the editing. All I can say now is sitting here in nearly August of this year, I am very happy that we didn't go down that road.

[They guys at psg are] easy to deal with, they're always there, I think we've probably asked them maybe a thousand questions since we started and not once have they not answered them like really clearly because podcasting can be quite technically challenging with the delivery of it. Not, not once have we felt we were alone to try and figure that out.

The guys at psg don’t take themselves too seriously

And Brian adds:

It's also the coaching that's made available to you. So we literally turned up on day one and we're like, right, what do we do here? How do we go about it? So it's about all of the wee hints and tips along the way to make sure that you're publishing in the right places, that you're having a think about distribution, what could you be doing in the podcast and outwith to ultimately extend your reach.

So all of the production stuff is amazing, very reasonably priced. The service is fantastic, very responsive, but for me, The most critical skill almost that you're buying as part of what you pay is just the experience of 20 odd years that they have a running podcasts you can’t put a price on that.

And above all else, a Mark and Cam are a good laugh. They don't take themselves too seriously, which is exactly what you're after when you're in here, you're here to take care of business, but you want to have a bit of fun as well.

So two absolutely sound guys to deal with.

You can start your podcast as soon as you like, fulfill that dream! Our combined experience of over 20 years producing podcasts for clients will be available for you to tap into, along with access to the highest quality audio, lighting and video equipment.
